THE LIVING END

'Puerto Rico Rock and Roll Hall of Fame' Inductees 2013

Inducted to Puerto Rico Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2013 Carli Muñoz was there to receive the honors.

We wished there was never an end to the Living End Funky and then more funky. When this band started playing you would see all these pretty girls all around the stage trying to take a peek at Bobby Puras on bass laying a constant groove and also Amaury on drums helping to establish that funky sound. But there were also a lot of dudes around the front of the stage to take a closer look at Tessy Coen, their beautiful talented singer and Conga player. Jorge on guitar also took a good look at her and made her his wife. A good move since Jorge later continued his career in Los Angeles, California with great sucess. Carli Munoz on Hammond and keyboards had a different story. He was very quiet on stage and very much concentrated on his parts and filling in all gaps, making sure that the full sound of the band was always present. A lot of people noticed his playing as very unique and solid, even The Beach Boys also noticed that, and hired him as their Keyboard player for great part of the 1970's. Today Carli is a very sucessful business man with his outstanding jazz café, Carli's Fine Bistro & Piano, where you will find him bending notes on the Piano and playing jazz like you never heard before.
